A Virtual QCCE Fest Workshop withTezz Yancey exploring character work.

Creating a memorable character has everything to do with building the character (integrity) of your character! (And Yes, this includes playing inanimate objects🙌🏾👍🏾🥄 ) 

Playing a “character” is more than just goofy voices & silly behavior. (Although I thoroughly enjoy a good funny voice & a bit😉) It’s about establishing & committing to a point of view…then being able to justify it. 

In this workshop we will dig into and explore deepening the point of view, committing to and fleshing out the characters you create…in real time.

Let’s have fun chopping the wood (doing the work) and enjoy this process of creation & discovery!

About your Instructor:

Tezz Yancey (TezzWorld, The Second City/UCB/IO/Comedy Central, Showtime, Disney, NBC, Vet-TV, Black improv Alliance) Tezz is a professional Los Angeles based Improviser, Actor, Vocalist, Dancer, Musician, Writer, Arranger, Producer and Director with over 20 years of performing, teaching & coaching experience. He made his Broadway debut at age 14, headlined his own shows in Las Vegas, produced multiple film score recordings and is a working Film and television actor in Hollywood. He trained at the Boston conservatory and Berklee in musical theater and music production.
