Overview

SHAE Movement African Arts presents Simbe’: Power-Strength-Force, A West African Dance and Drum Concert. The Susu people define “Simbe’” as power. With featured dances from the Susu, Balanta, Malinke and Toma people, this power declares that we are equipped with boundless strength and have the ability to tap into an abundant force which we can use to make an impact in our community and in our world. There is an emphatic strength that resides in the rhythms, songs and dances featured in this show which all will remind everyone in attendance of the Warrior within.
