Overview

The Charlotte Symphony and Johnson C. Smith University join forces for a compelling musical tribute to resilience and empowerment. Highlights include “Klap Ur Handz” from Daniel Bernard Roumain’s Rosa Parks String Quartet and Carlos Simon’s Portrait of a Queen, narrated by Dr. Shawn-Allyce White. The JCSU Concert Choir will also perform selected repertoire including Anthem of Praise by Richard Smallwood.
