Overview

2023 marks the 50th anniversary of Mark’s career as a grand champion music competition winner, recording artist and traveling performer. To celebrate the milestone, Mark has written a stunningly beautiful memoir “Crossing Bridges,” which will be released on February 10, 2023.

“Crossing Bridges” is the story of Mark’s life as a child prodigy and ends when he is 20 years old. The book’s story takes flight in 1973 with his fiddle teacher Benny Thomasson, Old-time Fiddlers Contest in Weiser, ID, and Gold Creek Park Bluegrass Festival competitions in Woodinville, WA, and within 10 months of that in 1974, summer tour of competitions, his Opry debut, and in the studio with a recording contract with Rounder Records.
