Immerse yourself in the beauty of movement and music with Jessica Lang Dance (JLD) company’s Charlotte premier. Named among the best dance events of the year by major publications across the country, JLD is a contemporary and innovative New York-based dance troupe.

As one of the most celebrated choreographers of her generation, Jessica Lang has paved the way for female-driven contemporary ballet. Her work seamlessly incorporates a range of inspirations, including visual art, theatrical lyricism, human anatomy and the nuances of bodily gesture, forming breathtaking compositions.

Under Lang’s leadership and creative direction, JLD has made rapid success performing at renowned venues and festivals throughout the country. Lang, whose 100th ballet recently premiered at Lincoln Center under commission from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, has created original works for American Ballet Theatre, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the National Ballet of Japan, among many others.
