Dancing through Latin America

Overview

The Carolinas Latin Dance Company (CLDC) presents its annual fund-raising event: “DANCING THROUGHT LATIN AMERICA 2014” for the 12th consecutive year, featuring new dances from Latin America including the Caribbean, Central & South America and also Spain. Our expanded repertoire will be presented in a creative and unique performance, sure to enchant the entire family. The vibrancy of the music, the educational facts and the beauty of the costumes will keep your attention till the end of the show. The performance is composed of 2 acts of 45 minutes long each and a 15 minute intermission.

This year’s performance will include dances from 15 different Latin American Countries including Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Panama, El Salvador and also, dances from Spain. These dances will transport the audience through their color and pageantry into many of the identities that make-up these diverse and fascinating cultures.

For this years performance we have included facts from different countries to add a more educational aspect to the show. Come prepared to learn something new!!

CLDC is a non profit organization CLDC with the mission to promote cultural awareness and acceptance of diversity. CLDC is made up of local young people (6-30 years old), who are passionate about integration of all cultures and dance Towards Cultural Unity.
