Overview

Book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, Music by John Kander, Lyrics by Fred Ebb
Based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins
Directed by Jeff Manus

What becomes a legend most? For a couple of Jazz Age entertainers, it's all about fame, fortune – and murder. Chorus girl Roxie Hart killed her lover, and Velma Kelly shot her husband and her sister. When they get to prison, Matron "Mama" Morton can help them become famous criminals, and lawyer Billy Flynn might save them from execution. Brought to the big screen in an adaptation featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, and Queen Latifah, Chicago, from the inimitable Kander & Ebb (Cabaret, And The World Goes 'Round, The Scottsboro Boys,) has everything that makes theatre great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and "All That Jazz"; one show-stopping-song after another; and a "Razzle-Dazzle" musical where a sensational murder trial is transformed into a vaudeville spectacular.

All remaining tickets for the current day's performance are released back to Little Theater of Gastonia.   Please contact LTG's Box Office directly at 704.865.0160 or littletheaterofgastonia@gmail.com for availability.
