Ben Folds first found mainstream success as leader of the Ben Folds Five, a piano rock trio formed in Chapel Hill, NC. The multi-platinum selling, singer-songwriter has since performed with some of the world’s greatest orchestras, including repeatedly sold out shows with the National Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, and Nashville Symphony.  Ben Folds will deliver a high-energy performance of his hits to kick-off the Symphony’s Pops season along with the Charlotte debut of a new piano concerto. Folds recently won further critical acclaim for his insight as a judge on NBC's a cappella competition, "The Sing-Off.”
