Charlotte Ballet: Fall Works

Overview

Celebrate the centennial of two landmark artists – Leonard  Bernstein and Jerome Robbins. A historic collaboration, Robbins’ legendary Fancy Free set to Bernstein’s score tells the iconic story of three sailors on leave. Our Resident Choreographer Sasha Janes - called a “choreographer to watch” by the Washington Post - presents the world premiere of his new creation, set to Bernstein’s iconic music. To round out this exciting triple bill, Artistic Director Hope Muir introduces Charlotte audiences to French choreographer Medhi Walerski’s Petite Cérémonie, which reviewers call a “light-hearted piece full of spunky energy.”
