Marvelous Funkshun

Overview

Marvelous Funkshun is a band steeped in tradition that cut its teeth in bars and clubs across the Southeast while developing a signature sound with influences ranging from psychedelic rock, blues, funk, sacred steel and jazz. The dual leads of Sam Robinson and E-Jay Trice on guitar and pedal steel take the listener on a roller coaster ride atop the funky and dynamic rhythm section featuring Will Bagley on bass and Zach Landon on drums. While still a young and modern band, the members have shared the stage with blues greats such as Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters), Delbert McClinton and Tinsley Ellis, jazz flute legend Kofi Burbridge (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Tim Reynolds, the Roots, Perpetual Groove Artimus Pyle (Lynyrd Skynyrd), the Gap Band, Pimps of Joytime, The Lee Boys and the Nth Power (members of Soulive, John Brown’s Body and Warren Haynes Band.) This funky southern psychedelic blues trip will keep your feet moving all night!
