Overview
What is the sound that light makes? Carolina Voices’ Festival Singers explore interpretations of light through music with its spring concert’s centerpiece Ola Gieilo’s Luminous Night of the Soul. This moving and symphonic work with piano and string quartet is set to text by Charles Anthony Silvestri and St. John of the Cross. Like good storytelling, this music builds into an epic symphonic ending with moments of true stillness and overwhelming intensity. The Festival Singers will also perform the beautiful and illuminating, Lux Aeterna by John Rutter and more.
