Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte for The Pink House

Overview

Carolina Breast Friends has partnered with Charlotte Ballroom and Mark Ballas Dance and Performing Arts to bring Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte for the Pink House to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center on April  16th, 2016.  Doors open at 7:00 pm, and the Show starts at 8:00 pm. The charity event will offer an evening of tempting tangos, sizzling salsas and jumping jives, performed by local stars matched with professional dance instructors in its celebratory first show.

Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte for the Pink House is a ballroom dance competition modeled after the popular Dancing with the Stars television show.  Local community stars are paired with professional dance instructors from the Charlotte Ballroom and Mark Ballas Dance and Performing Arts to learn and refine a ballroom dance routine. The stars will then compete at an elegant event in memory of Sara Harris Bissell to be held at the Booth Playhouse.  Three judges will score the event and the evening with conclude with the announcement of two winners:  1) the judges’ choice and 2) the people’s choice.  In addition to the ballroom dance competition, there will also be a silent and live auction, and all profits will go to benefit Carolina Breast Friends.
